Finite-Elemente-Simulation von Zerspanvorgängen mit geometrisch bestimmter Schneide

English Summary This thesis is intended to make a contribution towards further development of FE simulation of metal-cutting processes from the industrial user´s point of view. The commercial software ABAQUS/Explicit was used. A first step was to construct a three-dimensional FE model of a longitudinal surface turning process. A soft machining process of DaimlerChrysler AG was selected as an exemplary process: contour roughing of a C45E+N rear-axle shaft.
