Molecular aspects and chemical inactivation of influenza H5N1 viruses isolated from Egyptian chicken flocks during the 2006 - 2010 outbreaks

The objectives of the study were: 1- Standard identification and molecular characterization of two isolates of AIV subtype H5N1 isolated from commercial chicken in Egypt during the 2006 and 2010 outbreaks. 2- Comparative sequence and phylogenetic analyses of the HA and NA genes of different HPAIV H5N1 during the 2006 and 2010 outbreaks. 3- Evaluation of the efficacy of some commercial chemical disinfectants in the Egyptian poultry market against the two identified strains of HPAIV H5N1.
