Mehr zum Buch
Electricity supply remains a challenge as 17% globally and 70% in Africa lack access to electricity. Nevertheless, private sector investment (PSI) in public infrastructure in emerging markets and developing countries is on the decline. However, empirical research on PSI in Power Generation (PG) is sparse. The purpose of this research was, therefore, to analyse and reveal the underlying causes of low PSI in PG, and develop strategies to engender PSI in PG in Ghana. Mixed methods research strategy was used and the data analysed using content analysis, Analytical Network Process (ANP), Systems thinking tools and Soft Systems Methodology (SSM) approach. The research developed ANP model, Systems thinking models and human activity models thereby providing strategies to foster PSI in PG.
