English Summary Recently, cutting is one of the most important operations in manufacturing. The properties of tools and their materials influence the tool´s performance and therefore the reliability and efficiency of cutting processes. Variations of the tools´ micro-geometry or the properties of the used carbide material may result in different wear behavior concerning flank wear, surface cracks or cutting edge chipping.
