Indo-European origins

'Indo-European Origins' traces the development of the Indo-European peoples from about seven thousand years ago, when they were pastoral nomads on the steppes of southern Russia, to their later role as primary contributors to the Western Culture that shapes our world. Their skill as innovators and their aggressive nature led to many developments in military technology, such as the domestication of the horse, that often gave them an advantage over their agricultural neighbors. With this volume the contributions of the Indo-Europeans can finally be recognized and understood as major shaping influences on world history.
