The archaeological site of Palaepaphos is situated at the foot of the Troodos Mountains on the SW-coast of Cyprus on several small plateaus, amongst them one with the temenos wall of a Bronze Age sanctuary, the more easterly of Evreti with several wells, and further sites with burials and settlement remains. This volume is dedicated to the wells investigated in 1969-71 and their excavation, the Plain and Canaanite Wares, the marked vessels, the “White Painted Wheelmade III” Ware, the abstractly decorated “Splash Painted Ware”, imported Late Helladic and Late Minoan pottery, the base-ring, White Slip, and Bucchero ceramics, fragmentary pithoi, typological observations and petrographic analysis of cooking pots, small finds such as lamps, bronze containers and weapons, faience/stone/horn objects, seals, weights, textile and metallurgy tools, an ivory deposit, the preliminary results of the genetic analysis of a Bronze Age elephant tusk, Late Bronze Age mammalian faunal remains, worked bones in Evreti and on Cyprus in general, as well as the connection between feasting, craft, and depositional practice in Evreti / Palaepaphos.
