Jheronimus Bosch's St Anthony Triptych
The Lisbon Anthony triptych is not only one of Hieronymus Bosch's absolute masterpieces, but also one of the least well-understood paintings from the Brabant master's oeuvre. In this monograph, Eric De Bruyn has incorporated all the interesting results of the earlier Bosch literature surrounding the Lisbon Anthony triptych, and at the same time he presents a new and groundbreaking iconographic interpretation of the triptych.
