Denn es zeigt sich, dass der Erzähler vieles gut zeichnen kann, nur Tiger nicht. Aber natürlich denkt man als Leser:in nun erst recht an Tiger ... also muss der Erzähler sie zeichnen – und sie sind tatsächlich zum Totlachen schlecht gemalt! Am Ende des Buches erklärt Alex Latimer, warum er es geschrieben hat, nämlich weil er sich wünschte, jemand hätte ihm gesagt, dass man durch das Zeichnen nicht so guter Bilder lernt, gute Bilder zu zeichnen.
