Dale Chihuly, the hugely popular artist who works in glass, celebrates his 70th birthday in 2011. Although Dale Chihuly first experimented with the effects of silvered glass in 1996, it wasn’t until 2009 that he began to explore the full range of possibilities that silvering glass could have for his work, in particular in his Cylinder and Venetian series.
