Knížka se dotýká klíčového rozměru života křesťana – jeho vnitřní svobody. Každý křesťan by si měl v sobě i za těch nejméně příznivých vnějších okolností uchovat prostor svobody, který mu nikdo nemůže vzít. Svobodu mu dává Bůh a Bůh za ni také ručí.
