David Walser ist ein Schriftsteller, Übersetzer, Künstler und Musiker, dessen frühes Leben von seinen Erfahrungen während des Zweiten Weltkriegs geprägt wurde. Auf der Flucht vor gefährlichen Umständen in Indochina schaffte er es mit seiner Mutter zurück nach England. Er hat mit Jan Pieńkowski an elf Büchern zusammengearbeitet und zeigt damit einen vielschichtigen künstlerischen Ansatz. Walser lebt derzeit in London.
