Bardo ako obdobie existencie medzi smrťou a novým narodením prináša mnoho príležitostí vyslobodenia. Učenie obsahuje jasné inštrukcie k tomu, ako praktizovať a trénovať svoju myseľ v súčasnosti – v bdelom stave alebo v spánku, v okamihu smrti, ako aj v rámci samotného intervalu barda.
