The volume illustrates with drawings and photos twelve single-family houses by Japanese architect Kazunori Fujimoto. The houses, built in very different urban and landscape contexts, highlight the author's sensitivity to capturing the characteristics of the locations and making them interact with the internal space. The use of few materials and the monochromatic composition purify the space and express the wabi ideal, which translates the ethical and aesthetic aspiration of Japanese culture towards simplicity and authenticity.
