Der Herr der Ringe (The Lord of the Rings) ist ein epischer Fantasy-Roman, verfasst von dem englischen Professor J. R. R. Tolkien. Die Geschichte knüpft an Tolkiens vorheriges Werk, Der Hobbit, an, erweitert jedoch die komplexe Handlung erheblich.
