Every two years, Bad Homburg and other venues transform themselves into an enormous course of exhibitions for a whole summer. The contemporary sculptures and installations in the historical surroundings of the English landscape garden connect the experience of art and nature. In 2013, in cooperation with the Fondation Marguerite et Aimé Maeght of France, large-scale sculptures from thirty-seven artists were exhibited. The accompanying catalogue presents all exhibited works of the internationally renowned sculptors as well as of new up-and-coming artists.
Auch im Jubiläumsjahr der „Blickachsen 10“ dienen der Lennésche Kurpark Bad Homburgs und dessen landgräflicher Schlosspark als Hauptbühne für die Großskulpturen sowohl renommierter als auch beachtenswerter junger Künstler aus dem In- und Ausland. Das zweijährliche Ereignis, eröffnet neue Sichtweisen auf alltägliche Orte. Hier kann der Spaziergänger in den weitläufigen Parklandschaften hochkarätige Kunst erleben, die eine Symbiose mit ihrer Umgebung eingeht und im Wechsel der Jahreszeiten auf diese reagiert. Die vom Schöpfer des Kurparks, Peter Joseph Lenné, 1856 geschaffenen Blickachsen quer durch den Park sind Namens- und Programmgeber für die Ausstellungsreihe. This year as well, the main platform of the tenth ‘Blickachsen’ is once again the Lenné Spa Gardens in Bad Homburg. The biennial event featuring large-scale sculptures by renowned and aspiring artists from Germany and abroad opens new perspectives onto everyday places. Here, one can stroll through the extensive parklands and encounter high-caliber art, which forms a symbiosis with its surroundings and interacts with this during the change of seasons.
