In this entertaining debut novel, four women in their late thirties, uninterested in committed relationships, devise a plan to "share" a man. Rejecting traditional dating norms, they seek a partner who will adhere to their individual needs without the complications of love or fidelity. Lily, Terry, Jules, and Mara gather monthly for brunch to express their frustrations over the lack of suitable men. Each has her own desires: Lily wants passionate, uncomplicated sex; Terry seeks a father figure for her son; Jules hopes for no-strings-attached sperm to fulfill her parenting dreams; and Mara, a widow, craves intrigue to help her move on from her late husband. When Sean, a handsome construction company owner, enters Lily's life and agrees to her terms, things seem promising. However, he soon desires more than just a physical relationship, leading Lily to end things. During a brunch discussion, the women realize Sean could satisfy each of their needs, prompting Lily to propose the audacious idea of sharing him without his knowledge. Their unconventional plan is scandalous yet brilliant, but as they attempt to fulfill their desires, they discover that a man may not want to be the center of so many hidden agendas.
