For the Chance of Union presents selected papers from the eleventh biennial National Ordo Templi Orientis Conference (NOTOCON) held in Orlando, Florida, in 2017 EV. This volume explores a variety of esoteric topics, including Goetic and Heptarchial magick with example rituals, and the history of O.T.O., tracing inspirations from the Templars and Crusades to a ritualistic retelling of the Three Triads' repopulation since the interregnum period. It also celebrates themes of wine, gender identity, and song. Notable contributions include Deputy Grand Master Lon Milo DuQuette's entertaining account of "success is thy proof," and U.S. National Grand Master Sabazius's keynote address from Saturday evening. These papers represent some of the best modern practical and scholarly work on Ordo Templi Orientis, Thelema, and Aleister Crowley's magick. The inaugural NOTOCON took place in 1997 EV in Akron, Ohio, and has been held biennially in various U.S. cities. This collection is the sixth from the national conference, following the first volume, Beauty & Strength, from the 2007 EV conference. Ordo Templi Orientis is an international fraternal order dedicated to individual liberty, the study of magick, and the promotion of the Law of Thelema, shaped by influential figures such as Carl Kellner, Theodor Reuss, Aleister Crowley, Karl Germer, and Grady Louis McMurtry.

This volume offers a selection of papers from the sixth biennial National Ordo Templi Orientis Conference (NOTOCON) of the United States Grand Lodge of O.T.O., held in Salem, Massachusetts, in 2007 e.v. These papers represent some of the best modern practical and scholarly work on Ordo Templi Orientis, Thelema and Aleister Crowley, and cover diverse topics including ritual, history, symbolism, feminism, popular culture and textual analysis. Highlights include the address given by U.S. National Grand Master Sabazius, and a personal memoir of NOTOCON VI by Crowley's grandson, jazz pianist Eric Muhler.The first NOTOCON took place in 1997 in Akron, Ohio. It has since been held on alternate years in different cities around the United States.
