Dr. Ortfried Kotzian (geb. 1948 in Fellheim/Bayern) studierte Schulpädagogik, Politikwissenschaft sowie politische Bildung in Augsburg und München. Als Direktor des Bukowina-Instituts Augsburg und des Hauses des Deutschen Ostens München befasste er sich mit der deutschen Geschichte bzw. Geschichte der Deutschen in Mittel-, Ost- und Südosteuropa. Zum Europa des 20. Jahrhunderts gehören große Bevölkerungsbewegungen, die politisch mit wechselnden Begriffen bezeichnet werden. In seinem Vortrag betrachtet Dr. Kotzian Begriffe wie „Vertreibung“, „Umsiedlung“, „Deportation“, „Aussiedlung“, „ethnische Säuberung“ und „Zwangsmigration“ in ihrem historischen Wandel.
