Myška bydlí ve starém dubu a Krtek v díře právě pod jejím bytečkem. Když se myška ohání koštětem, všechno smetí padá Krtkovi na hlavu, a to si prosím právě otevřel knížku! Už se zdá, že z toho bude karambol a hádanice. Jak to skutečně dopadlo, si můžete přečíst a prohlédnout v naší knížce.
Krtek měl trudné ráno. Našel kalhoty i košili prožrané od molů. Takhle přece nemůže jít ven. Omotal se šálou, aby díry nebyly vidět, a zaběhl za Myškou. Myška si naštěstí věděla rady. Vyrobila legrační záplaty na kalhoty a Krtek zase přišil žaludové knoflíky, a měl oblečení zase zbrusu nové. Ze starých věcí udělali nové! Nejen z děravých kalhot. Ale také ze staré pneumatiky vyrobili zbrusu novou houpačku pro Myšku. Pro malé i velké děti, které také rády čtou o Kvakovi a Žbluňkovi!
Krtek a Myška mají velké plány. Je jaro, a to přece přilétají ptáci. Budou je pozorovat a pak o nich napíšou knihu! Nápad je dobrý, ale jak udělat, aby ptáky nevyplašili? Co to dá přemýšlení, než na to přijdou. Ale stojí to za to. Krtek a Myška se stanou aspoň na krátko těmi nelegračnějšími ptáky, které kdy svět viděl.
