Michal Mráz takes us on a journey and tells us of a curious story not necessarily his own, but rather, a story of his perception of the human experience of which he is a part. Mráz inserts in his paintings signs of our collective identity, old, new, and the sometimes forgotten, from Eastern Europe to the Western World. Each painting he develops encompasses multiple layers of chaos and metaphor. The collective ideas of the present day, not just years past, abstract the composition and remind us of our conflicts as individuals regardless of country and continent.
