Federico Diaz and his team - named E AREA after one of their breakthrough projects of the 1990s - have been working together for more than 15 years, cutting a swathe through the art world and forcing people to re-evaluate the way they see art and the concept of a work of art. Resonance is a superbly illustrated volume which showcases Diaz and E AREA's stunning works, including their latest site specific installation for P.S.1's annual radio broadcast from Art Basel Miami Beach - one of the most important art shows in the world.

This illustrated volume explores the new site-specific sculpture by artist Federico Díaz created from 420,000 black spheres precisely milled and assembled by robotic machines, and entirely untouched by human hands.

Outside Itself is a self-replicating, site-specific sculptural installation shaped by viewer-inspired data created by Federico Diaz for the 54th Venice Biennale. It is an interactive, mathematically-programmed, robotically-produced and light-responsive installation that grows and morphs as a life force onto itself. Viewers of all ages and nationalities will influence the sculpture¿s ultimate form in this work of ¿Light¿ and ¿Nations¿.
