William L. Langer

    William Leonard Langer war ein Historiker, der sich auf die Diplomatie des späten 19. und frühen 20. Jahrhunderts spezialisierte. Als Absolvent der Harvard University lehrte er an der Clark University, bevor er eine Anstellung an der Harvard University annahm, wo er schließlich Vorsitzender der Geschichtsabteilung wurde. Während des Zweiten Weltkriegs war er beurlaubt als Leiter der Forschungs- und Analyseabteilung des Office of Strategic Services und war 1957 Präsident der American Historical Association.
