Pavol Dobšinský Bücher

Dieser Autor ist vor allem für seine lebenslange Sammeltätigkeit und Veröffentlichung slowakischer Volksmärchen bekannt. Sein tiefes Interesse an Folklore und Mythologie entwickelte sich bereits während seines Studiums, wo er sich aktiv an studentischen Publikationen beteiligte und eine handschriftliche Zeitschrift redigierte. Seine literarischen und folkloristischen Bestrebungen entwickelten sich später zu einem stärker ethnografischen Fokus, was zu umfangreichen Sammlungen slowakischer Volkskultur führte. Durch seine umfassende Arbeit bei der Sammlung und Analyse von Volksnarrativen etablierte er sich als Schlüsselfigur in der slowakischen Volkskunde.
