Robert Anton Wilson, 1932 in New York geboren, studierte Mathematik, Elektrotechnik, Englisch, Pädagogik und machte seinen Abschluss schließlich in Psychologie. Nach diversen Jobs, u. a. als Mitarbeiter des «Playboy», wurde er Vizepräsident des Institute for the Study of Human Future in Berkeley. 2007 ist Robert Wilson nach längerer Krankheit gestorben.
