In this reimagined fairy tale, a shepherd boy tasked with watching over a herd of stunt-jumping sheep finds himself in a heroic role. When little Red Riding Hood is in peril from the Big Bad Wolf, he must step up to save her, turning the classic story on its head. This playful twist combines adventure and humor, showcasing the boy's courage and resourcefulness in an unexpected situation.

The plot revolves around a cunning wolf who, frustrated by his inability to catch the three Little Pigs, devises a clever scheme to create a robot pig. His plan aims to deceive the Pigs into entering his house, setting the stage for a suspenseful and humorous showdown. The story combines elements of classic fairy tales with a modern twist, showcasing themes of ingenuity and the battle between predator and prey.

This is the first genre study of child-starred cinemas from Spain. It illuminates continuities in the political use of the child protagonist in over fifty years of Spanish cinema and how the child-starred genres deploy the concept of childhood to retrospectively define the nation and its future. From Francoist popular to oppositional auteur films, and including Spanish and Latin American cinema, this monograph examines commonalities in aesthetics, narratives and genre functions. It demonstrates the impact of these narratives within Spanish film history and Francoist biopolitics, as well as providing a broader transatlantic perspective on the genre in select productions from Chile and Argentina.
