Michal Prokop (*1970, Česká Lípa) absolvierte das Gymnasium und anschließend Soziologie an der FF UK sowie ein Studium für Gerichtsdolmetscher an der PF UK. Er übersetzt aus dem Englischen, hat etwa 80 Bücher veröffentlicht, darunter Werke von Autoren wie Forsyth, Hornby und Crichton, und ist seit 2007 als Gerichtsdolmetscher tätig. Er ist seit 2014 Mitglied von TOP 09, als er sich aufgrund der Kombination liberaler und konservativer Ansätze der Partei für eine aktive Beteiligung an der Politik entschied.
