Ptolemaeus, born around 100 AD and living in Alexandria until his death around 178, left behind a timeless document of astrology with his work Tetrabiblos, meaning "Book in Four Parts." He restructured observable facts under causal perspectives, creating a comprehensive textbook. Many terms and rules still in use today are derived from Tetrabiblos. For the first time, astrology was systematized through clear definitions, and Ptolemaeus synthesized all strands of astrological knowledge.
