Elvis Cole is back in a gripping tale that delves into family and the weight of the past. In the early hours of the morning, Cole receives a life-altering phone call: the LAPD has found an injured man in an alley who claims to be searching for his son, Elvis Cole. Moments later, the man dies, leaving Elvis haunted by the mystery of his father's identity. To confront his past, he seeks help from his loyal partner, Joe Pike, and LAPD detective Carol Starkey, who has her own feelings for him. As they work to uncover the identity of the deceased, Elvis grapples with the hope that he may have finally found his father, while his suspicions hold him back. Each clue they discover reveals a chilling truth about the man and the dark secret he harbored. Unbeknownst to Elvis, his investigation has stirred a dangerous adversary. The deeper he delves, the more he attracts the attention of a ruthless killer tied to the dead man's history, who is determined to eliminate Elvis before he can uncover the truth. The tension escalates as Cole races against time, caught in a deadly game with a relentless foe.
