Strhující životopis téměř zapomenuté hrdinky, jíž byla doktorka Suzanne Noëlová, známá jako „madame Noël“, feministka usilující o volební právo žen a průkopnice rekonstrukční chirurgie. Nárok na studium medicíny si musela vyvzdorovat, protože dívkám na počátku 20. století automaticky nepříslušelo právo studovat. Během první světové války operovala spolu s profesorem Hippolytem Morestinem mnoho vojáků zraněných granáty. Oba vyvinuli převratné chirurgické postupy a mnoha pacientům se znetvořeným obličejem tak pomohli získat zpět sebevědomí a důstojnost. Její osobní život byl ovšem velice pohnutý, poznamenaný ztrátami v období epidemie španělské chřipky i během světových válek. Bojovala nejen s mužským šovinismem, ale i se zarputilými feministkami, které ji obviňovaly, že estetická chirurgie příliš vychází vstříc mužskému pohledu na svět. Nikdy se však nevzdala cesty, po které se rozhodla vydat, a zejména mnoha ženám pomohla, když razila tezi, že každá žena má mít nejen právo volební, ale i právo vybrat si svůj osud a se svým tělem si dělat, co chce.

This reworked edition compiles the first three volumes of the series, inviting readers to fully explore the world of Yop City. Subsequent volumes will be released in future editions. The work has garnered significant acclaim, winning multiple awards including the Best First Album at the Angoulême International Comics Festival and the Children’s Africana Book Award, while also receiving nominations for prestigious honors such as the Quill Award and the Eisner Award.
