Insgesamt drei Mittelsteinzeitliche Fundstellen konnten im Laufe mehrerer archäologischer Ausgrabungen in den 90er Jahren im Tal des Neckars in der Flur Siebenlinden bei Rottenburg (Lkr. Tübingen) erforscht werden. Die Plätze gehören in die frühe Nacheiszeit, etwa 8000 bis 7700 vor Christus. Ein außerordentlicher Glücksfall dieser Entdeckung ist, dass sich Überreste der Siedlungsstrukturen erhalten haben. Es lassen sich Feuerstellen, Standorte der Zelte und Arbeitsplätze nachweisen. Die Auswertung der Funde und Befunde gestattet detaillierte Einblicke in das Leben der letzten Jäger und Sammler Mitteleuropas während der frühen Nacheiszeit.
