H-Zellen-Multilevel-Umrichter auf MOSFET-Basis haben sich als verlustärmste Topologie herausgestellt. Bei doppelseitiger Chipkühlung können so große Stromdichten im Chip zugelassen werden, dass in einem Batteriespannungsbereich über 200V der klassische Zwei-Level-Umrichter auf IGBT-Basis im Fahrzyklus mit der geringsten Chipfläche auskommt.
