V súčasnosti sa vír života odstredivo rozpína, na rozdiel od obdobia pred narodením Krista, keď sa dostredivo zužoval. Momentálne dosiahol takmer najväčšiu možnú expanziu. Zjavenie, ktoré sa blíži, však nadobudne charakter z opačného pohybu vnútorného víru. Celá naša vedecká, demokratická, fakty zhromažďujúca heterogénna civilizácia patrí do vonkajšieho víru a nepripravuje svoje pokračovanie, ale zjavenie, ktoré príde ako blesk. Tento blesk však nezasiahne len jedno miesto a po istý čas sa bude sústavne opakovať. Catalogado habitualmente como prerromantico por los historiadores de la literatura, William Blake (1757-1827) es, sin embargo, una figura que desafia cualquier intento de clasificacion y que ocupa un privilegiado lugar en la lirica inglesa. Rebelde, visionario y mistico, rompio con las doctrinas oficiales de su tiempo (teologicas, morales, politicas y esteticas) y se anticipo a muchos pensadores que hoy forman parte del acervo cultural de Occidente. El suyo es un mundo donde el mal es una fuerza necesaria y las leyes morales son cadenas impuestas al hombre, al que el poeta aspira a liberar a traves de la imaginacion, la vision y el conocimiento. La presente Antologia bilingue ofrece una amplia seleccion de la obra de William Blake, traducida y prologada por Enrique Caracciolo Trejo. No faltan en ella sus poemas mas conocidos, como El Tigre o Un arbol emponzonado y viene completada por un glosario de vocablos de sentido especial en la cosmogonia del autor y una cronologia.

Obsahuje příběhy jako Králova moudrost, Hrdý Costello, a Desky zákona, které reflektují hluboké spojení s irskou historií a mytologií. W. B. Yeats, narozený v roce 1865, se stal klíčovou postavou kulturní obrody Irska a jeho zájem o esoterické vědy ho přivedl k novoplatónské filozofii a mystériím rosenkruciánů. Po roce 1887 se stal členem řádu Zlatý úsvit, kde přijal jméno Bratr Démon Est Deus Inversus. Jeho vysoké zasvěcení se odrazilo v jeho literární tvorbě, kde maluje slovy obrazy, které evokují snové prožitky a magii okamžiku. V jeho díle se prolínají vlivy Williama Blakea, přičemž se zaměřuje na rozdíl mezi materiálním světem a světem idejí. Yeatsova mystická práce, včetně souboru povídek Rosa Alchemica, obsahuje symbolické prvky a naznačuje základní prvky velkého zasvěcení. Příběhy zkoumají vztah křesťanství a pohanských mýtů, vyrovnanost bílé a černé magie, a jeho lásku k rodnému Irsku. Starokeltské balady zde ožívají novým životem a jejich obraznost otevírá cestu do nitra duše.

Kniha, kterou lze považovat za vyvrcholení celoživotní tvůrčí práce W. B. Yeatse a základní zdroj jeho pozdní filozoficko-symbolické poezie, vychází v novém českém překladu. Dílo je rozděleno do pěti knih věnovaných psychologii, dějinám umění, estetice či filozofii dějin. Lze ho vnímat jako ucelený soubor „metafor pro poezii“, básnických obrazů v próze i jako ambiciózní pokus o načrtnutí všeobjímajícího filozoficko-estetického systému. Mezi jeho zásadní díla patří básnické sbírky Michael Robartes a tanečnice (1921), Věž (1928) a série her Čtyři hry pro tanečníky (1924). V roce 1923 získal Nobelovu cenu za literaturu. Mgr. Martin Štefl, Ph.D., v současné době působí jako odborný asistent jazykové výuky na Masarykově ústavu vyšších studií ČVUT.
