Since 2002, the EU has strengthened democracy support in its relations with African countries, facing challenges from non-democratic influences and internal EU issues. This paper argues for the necessity of continued and enhanced support for democracy in Africa, analyzing past developments and proposing ten reforms for a more strategic approach in response to current geopolitical dynamics.

Social cohesion is crucial for sustainable development, especially highlighted by the Covid-19 pandemic's impact. This paper seeks to establish a clear and measurable definition of social cohesion, integrating key elements like trust and cooperation. It aims to facilitate global analysis and inform policies to strengthen social cohesion, particularly in the African context.
This study examines the impacts of economic, societal, political, and environmental structures during the Covid-19 crisis in Africa since March 2020. It aims to enhance understanding of the pandemic's effects and formulate policy recommendations. Key findings highlight the importance of social cohesion and propose a triad of political priorities: inclusive green economic development, universal social systems, and effective political institutions, all while preserving ecosystems.
This analysis examines how social cohesion and social protection schemes affected COVID-19 containment policies in Africa during 2020. Findings show that social cohesion negatively influenced policy stringency, while social protection positively impacted it, particularly in less cohesive societies. The study offers new insights into policy responses in Africa during the pandemic.
This paper addresses the gap in scholarship on protecting democracy from rising autocratization since 1989. It proposes a conceptual theory of democracy promotion that includes both support and protection, integrating international relations and comparative politics. Additionally, it outlines six phases of regime change to identify effective strategies for each phase.
