Poetry that takes the reader to the strangest place of all--the human mind; troubled, bizarre, diabolical even, to the more familiar, though occasionally very odd, quotidian. Poetry based on the truth of a poet's experience, and on the greater truth of his imagination. Narrative poetry written in language accessible, visceral, and subtly rhythmic. Take DIFLUCAN whole or in bits; it will cure whatever ails you.
One of the best volumes of poetry published this year or any year, DICKHEAD is an absurdist knuckle sandwich that deals in realism and farce in equal measures: simultaneously a punch to the gut and massage--jasmine mixed with hemlock--a ride through the Tunnel of Love and into the Fun House...An eclectic stew of poetry that engages both soul and spleen, heart as well as mind.
These poems reveal remarkable skill and simplicity of style. Here we find a graceful and harmonious movement of language. The spontaneous and profound emotions are nowhere more exquisitelyrevealed than in these poems which are, in many respects, quite unique.

This is a book about the great Henry Miller and his work. All his “major” and some minor works come under discussion here. The book is divided into two parts, one-third devoted to FLESH, and the remainder to SPIRIT. On occasion the two motifs happily mingle. This is not an academic study as I am not an academician. I am a lay-person with an abiding interest in Henry Miller and his work. An interest I have indulged off & on for over forty years.
We notice in these poems quite impressive imaginative leap that will certainly appeal to all readers. The poems show the riches and vigor of conversational style and everyday vocabulary.
These poems reveal a passionate concreteness of imagery and a rich allusiveness. All the poetic qualities that touch the human heart are here. Liveliness is the most characteristic quality of these poems that show intense emotion and vivid imagination.
