Eiríkr Magnússon Bücher

Eiríkur Magnússon war ein isländischer Gelehrter und Übersetzer, der als Bibliothekar an der Universität Cambridge tätig war. In Zusammenarbeit mit William Morris schuf er die erste englische Übersetzung der Völsunga-Saga. Seine Arbeit trug maßgeblich zur Verbreitung nordischer Literatur und Mythologie in der englischsprachigen Welt bei. Magnússons sorgfältige Herangehensweise und sein tiefes Wissen über das Altnordische gewährleisteten die Genauigkeit und den literarischen Wert seiner Übersetzungen.
