This book is the story of twoyoung African American teenagers who met fell in love and overcame a mountainof adversity to be with one another. Jack and Agnes were destined to betogether. Their relationship was not without obstacles and setbacks. Some ofthe problems they faced came from unexpected sources. They survived elements ofdeception, betrayal and treachery but still managed to salvage theirrelationship. In addition to the initial problems, were the normal struggles ayoung couple faced in raising children and keeping a family intact. The pain they suffered left deep scars but their love proved to be the glue tohold their family together. Although their relationship gotoff to a rocky start, they remained deeply in love and committed to each other. Their faith in God and the love of family was key inthe happiness they shared. They survived one crisis after another in whatseemed to be a test of their will and commitment to rise to the challengesposed by life.
