Prejudice prevents us from developing because we block our minds with preconceived negativism. Prejudice is a cancerous sore that disguises itself in belittling and insulting language. This type of speech creates an unintelligent and deceptive wall between individuals or people who have felt the pain of racism. Thus it is hoped that a better understanding and respect can be achieved. Our pluralistic society demands that we respect each other, if we're to survive and ultimately live together. It's time that we talk rather than fight; respect rather than hate.
