Stories for nothing

Kelley presents a critical examination of the underlying poetic structures and narrative strategies of Samuel Beckett's major extended works in prose from the trilogy onward. Throughout the text, Kelley refers to Beckett's 1931 monograph on Marcel Proust and draws attention to Beckett's originality as well as his debt to the French writer.
