The European Conference on Numerical Mathematics and Advanced Applications (ENUMATH) is a biennial event that fosters discussion on recent developments in numerical mathematics and its applications. Since its inception in Paris in 1995, the series has continued in various locations, including Heidelberg, Jyvaskyla, Ischia, Prague, and Santiago de Compostela. This volume presents a selection of invited plenary lectures, papers from minisymposia, and contributed papers from ENUMATH 2007, which took place in Graz, Austria, from September 10–14, 2007. The conference attracted significant interest, featuring ten invited presentations, a public lecture, over 240 talks in nine minisymposia, and fifty-four sessions of contributed talks, with approximately 316 participants, primarily from Europe. A total of 98 contributions are included in these proceedings, covering both theoretical aspects of new numerical techniques and algorithms, as well as their applications in engineering and science. This compilation offers readers an excellent overview of contemporary methods, techniques, algorithms, and results in numerical mathematics and scientific computing. We extend our gratitude to all participants for their valuable contributions and discussions, as well as to the minisymposium organizers, chairpersons, and speakers for their significant roles in the conference.
