At the age of nine already, Armin Opherden learned from own experience what it is like to fall in love 'just so' and regardless the fact that you have never spoken a single word to your 'adorated' and know almost nothing about her. It was just now that the summer holidays had to begin. Six weeks of not seeing this sweetest possible girl in the world! During his long vacation in Italy, Armin felt like being sick, due to the terrible Sehnsucht he felt for his classmate. All this yearning for her was quite a suffering but also taught him something very important: He slowly but surely realised the difference between 'loving somebody' and 'being in love with somebody' or 'true love' and 'infatuation'. Later, as an adult, Armin Opherden has been patiently listening when friends, relatives or colleagues had fallen in love unhappily or had to cope with separations. He was often able to offer helpful advice which, based on his extensive practical experience, he has worked into fictuous stories and summarised in this how-to booklet. Armin Opherden is no psychologist and thus his advise cannot replace possibly necessary specialist therapies. However, in many cases his plain thoughts on the topic of 'lovesickness' may encourage people who were about to lose all optimism because of a relationship gone wrong.
