“Kleinhüningen speaks” features conversations with residents of the Kleinhüningen district, sharing their life stories and experiences of change. This project culminated in a sound installation at the Kleinhüningen community centre from January to December 2015, showcasing discussions alongside a photographic essay highlighting the area’s architectural diversity. Inhabitants reflect on their histories, exploring themes of migration, identity, and coexistence. Their narratives reveal processes of adaptation, disassociation, and engagement, emphasizing the ongoing quest for belonging, social transitions, and the need for stability. The publication captures the unique essence of Kleinhüningen through both language and imagery, illustrating how personal and social identities are shaped through active engagement with the community. The voices featured include Alexander Asram, Jasemine Altay, Hans Baumgartner, Nenad Beric, Erica Bigey, Noel Bless, Ralf Brink, Felix Christ, Marco Gelsomino, Francois Hiltbrand, Michel Isenschmidt, Maik Karpf, Tim Maier, William Martin, Dieter Messerli, Silvia Neumann, Urs Rössler, Nevria Russo, Laydrye Shala, Leonie Winkler, Sarah Wyss, Christa Ziegler, and Til Velten.
