In the introduction to the discussion in this book, we presented a wide range of reasons justifying the reflection on the subject. Our discussion is contained in five, logically and substantively related chapters, presented in two parts: - the reflection on the category of development - demonstrating that the theory of development is a science - another reflection is on the relationship between the theory of development with other sciences - our discussion specifies the issue of the implementation of the assumptions of the theory if development to practice - one should agree with A. Toffler quoted in the book that in each book questions are more important than answers and recommendations, and there are plenty of the latter in our book - according to the fourth rule of the network economy, a customer, and in our case, a reader should receive the beta (β), i. e. less perfect product. If the reader, through personal reflection, improves the product, i. e. this book, it would be its biggest success.
