There is no valuable material in the current literature that would help a smaller or larger size company implementing a credit risk management structurally in order to validate credit risk systematically and present in-struments for mitigation. On the other hand we feel obliged to our members of the Association of Credit Management Switzerland to publish a writing, which shows one more time the benefit of our organization. Building on the Minimum Require-ments for Credit Management this shall deliver a practical guidance to min-imize credit risk. This publication does not intend to be a panacea that will help you to have no bad debts anymore. It is rather the opportunity to candle the credit risk management department of your company and compare it against what is written down in this book. It will help to reflect your processes and optimize it purposefully. Possibly you might realize that you practice credit risk man-agement in the right way already.
