The book at hand describes a new web-based approach for enterprise cooperation. From the algorithmic point of view a complex optimization problem has to be solved, where different potential participants of a future cooperation have to be chosen, considering different objectives. Algorithms and solutions of the outlined problem are developed stepwise as well as discussed and analyzed with respect to questions of efficiency. A reasonable treatment of the described task requires new concepts and models, introduced within this book. Further, it is demonstrated that different advantages can be achieved compared to previous approaches addressing the problem. For instance it is for the first time possible to bid on working packages in parallel without the necessity to consider input values of other bidders. The considered application yields also special requirements for further application aspects, e. g. for intra-enterprise scheduling and cross-company monitoring, which are discussed as well. Thereby for instance a probabilistic scheduling model and the concept of continuous replanning are developed. Finally, the introduced algorithms and their prototypical implementation, which has been carried out in cooperation with an industrial partner, are evaluated according to criteria of performance and application.
