The recovery of resources is looked upon as a duty in todays global industry, politics and scientific community. Yet, cycle economy is more than just obligation. It is a driver for life cycle accompanying services to create new business segments and qualified employment. Applying todays technologies for e-ecological manufacturing is the task that scientific community and industry equally strive for. The colloquium served as a forum for research institutes and industry partners that work in the area of cycle economy. It enabled them to get an overview on the research activities in the national and international community. The colloquium was financially supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft. The main contents of lectures, posters, and workshops are published in the colloquium proceedings.
