The effects of underwater noise on the marine flora and fauna pose a considerable challenge for the sustainable development of offshore wind energy. In this thesis, a long range prediction model for the sound exposure level and the peak sound pressure level, based on the wavenumber integration technique, is developed and successfully validated against extensive offshore measurement data from farms in the North and the Baltic Sea.
