Target-oriented planning for electric distribution grids with smart grid metrics
Autoren
Mehr zum Buch
Driven by the rising amount of fluctuating distributed generation and the increasing sensitivity of customers to quality issues, there is an ongoing transformation of the existing electric power systems towards the so-called „Smart Grid“ systems. This dissertation introduces a new approach of measuring the smartness of electric distribution grids from the grid performance targets to be met without predetermining the measures to be taken to achieve them. A new kind of metric, which is named Smart Grid Metric, is introduced in order to make conflicting targets comparable and to allow for subsequent cost/benefit analysis. The results of cost/benefit analysis can be applied to compare different measures in the distribution grid planning.
