The PaCT-2009 conference, held in Novosibirsk, was the tenth in the series dedicated to parallel computing technologies, taking place over four days. The PaCT conferences occur every odd year in Russia, with the inaugural event held in 1991 in Novosibirsk. Subsequent conferences took place in various cities, including Obninsk, St. Petersburg, Yaroslavl, Pushkin, Nizhni Novgorod, Krasnoyarsk, and Pereslavl-Zalessky. Since 1995, all proceedings have been published by Springer in the LNCS series. PaCT-2009 was organized by the Institute of Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Geophysics of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the State University of Novosibirsk. The conference aimed to unite scientists focused on theory, architecture, software, hardware, and large-scale problem-solving in parallel computing. Approximately 100 participants from around the globe attended, with authors from 17 countries submitting 72 papers. Of these, 34 were chosen as regular papers, along with 2 invited presentations. A variety of posters were also showcased, and all submissions underwent international review by at least three referees. A demo session was included for participants to engage with the material.
