From Quiet Homes

Set against the backdrop of Australian life between the two world wars, the narrative explores the complexities of love and moral dilemmas during wartime. It follows a young Queenslander with pacifist beliefs who enlists in the RAF's Bomber Command during WWII. After being shot down, he falls for a German nurse, but they lose touch in a POW camp.
