Strategies for Managing Global Environmental Risks

Addressing the interplay of global risk potentials with economic, social, and ecological changes, this report aims to enhance the management of risks associated with global transformation. It categorizes relevant risks and proposes both established and innovative assessment and management strategies. The Council emphasizes the need for international policy alignment, including harmonizing liability laws, creating environmental liability funds, and establishing a UN Risk Assessment Panel, alongside strategies to reduce vulnerability to risks.
